About the GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation
It is with a deep sense of gratitude that
GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation members want
to make people aware of the benefits of transplantation
and raise awareness of the dire need for more
organ and tissue donors who are willing to
renew and enhance the lives of others.
GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation is based on the philosophy
that the person who can understand you best is the person who
has been there, too. GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation helps
individuals facing the circumstances similar to their own.
GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation provides recipients,
people on waiting lists, their families and
caregivers with encouragement, support and
guidance during each stage of the transplant
journey.
Some recipients and people on the waiting
list prefer to journey alone during such trying
circumstances. Others turn to family, friends
and professionals for support.
GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation is another
source of support.
GoodHearts Mentoring Foundation extends a
helping hand to people struggling with the
wait for a new organ as well as individuals
starting a new life with a transplant. The
mentor is affected by the disease which necessitated
a transplant and the subsequent recovery and
wants to share his or her experience with others.
By providing a friendly ear, the mentor will
help to ease fears and isolation encountered
on such a life-altering journey.
